Card front swap

Just finished up my card fronts for a swap I am in over on the Cricut Message board. I had to make nine little boy (for ages one through ten) card fronts to fit an A2 size card. I made the airplane with my Sizzix die, the little bear is from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge and the background label is a Stampin Up Top Note Die. I chose NOT to add a sentiment so whoever receives my card fronts can use one of their own such as "Flying by with a great big HI.....or Just PLANE cute!"...that way the card can be used for Birthday or whatever they choose. I am real happy with they way they turned out.....I just LOVE my Create a Critter cartridge, it is one of my favorites, and one I tend to use often!

Paper Carnations

As we all know by now, I am obsessed with making flowers and I ran across this video on you tube for making paper carnations and I decided I would share this with everybody! All you need is a scalloped circle punch, cardstock, a brad  and water. How easy is that?

I used this Stampin Up scalloped circle punch for my flowers, and I chose to experiment with different types of inks.....my favorite were the Tim Holtz inks of course because they gave the most brilliant color. I love these little beauties......aren't they super cute? I did discover when using pigment ink....when you hit the paper with the water....the pigment ink actually turns different shades of color and almost gives a tie dye effect which I thought was super cool!

Can't wait to try these flowers on an altered project! I'm sure they will mix in with my Prima flowers and flourishes beautifully! I will post pics of projects I make using these flowers later on! Thanks for looking. Please leave a comment!

Flower Swap

Lately I have been entering a lot of swaps on the Cricut Message board to keep myself busy and one of them was a Flower Swap......we were to make 5 handmade flowers per person and package them in a nice manner. So here are the flowers that I made for my group.

this is the front side of package one & two

and this is the back side of pkg one & two

this is the front side of pkgs three & four

and the back side of pkgs three & four

I hand stamped, embossed and inked the backer card and then used temp glue to attach the flowers to the card......I then placed the cards into the clear bags and attached the bags together with
a top note die and stapler.
The sentiment on the package is from Stampin Up.

Flowers

Lately I have been obsessed with making different kinds of flowers.....satin lollipop flowers, denim flowers, paper flowers......I have become addicted! LOL! But seriously they are so much fun to make
and there are tons of videos on you-tube!

So this is a set of Denim Flowers I made from an old pair of jeans,
I used the Sizzix Circles #2 die to cut the Denim circles,
frayed the edges and added a fabric brad in the center....
I love how shabby these turned out,
Can't wait to use them on a project!

This is another set of Denim Flowers I made using the Sizzix
Flowers layers Die, frayed the edges and sewed them together in the middle.
Not sure what I want to use for the centers yet......but I am
loving them just the same.
In this day and age it is all about Recycling....so
dig into your stash and see what you can come up with!

I am making paper flowers today.....will post pics soon!

Paint Can Swap

Just finished my paint can swap over on the Cricut Message board. My partner for this swap was Elizabeth ~ aka ~ Liz Y jose. I was so happy to have Liz for my partner on this one.
We both have the same likes and dislikes and the same tastes when it comes to paper and embellishments......so this can was super easy to alter for her! I had a lot of fun getting to know her and picking out items for her can..............and she was ecstatic when she received it, which made me feel really good! Thanks for all the nice comments Liz! I am just happy that you enjoyed your goodies so much!

here is her can I made with the Graphic 45 Fairy paper

A handmade tag I made for Liz's SB room

Paint stick I decorated to go with the Paint can

I also made her the cutest little mini journal (you can see here in the picture) to match her paint can and then filled the can with Tim Holtz & vintage goodies! Liz is still working on mine.....I will post pictures when I receive it.
